North West Indian Food Festival at The Residency Towers

The Residency Towers has organized The North West Frontier Food Festival to showcase India's culinary heritage. Master Chefs Ashfaque & Irfan Qureshi (sons of the Legendary Grand Master Chef Imtiaz Qureshi) are being flown in from Delhi to bring the authentic Kebabs and Curries to Chennaiites. The festival will include succulent kebabs such as Hyderabad's Shikampur and Pathar ke Kebab to Lucknow's Murgh Tikka Kaali Mirch & Gilawati Kabab.

From a central Asian soldier's campfire to a Mughal emperor's feast, the kebab has traveled a long way to find fame in India. Babur's Persian cooks first introduced Kebab to India. The word 'Kebab' is a combination of the Persian word "kum" meaning little and 'aab" or water indicating the method of its preparation. As Indian chefs adopted Persian culinary styles, they added their own nuances of traditional spices, creating a new culinary style that came to be known as the cuisine of Mughals. Like other ethnic foods brought by immigrants and travelers, the kebab has become part of everyday cuisine in multicultural countries around the globe.

Come enjoy the alfresco dining experience at 'The Crown" the roof top restaurant at The Residency Towers from 28th January to 9th February, 7pm onwards. It is sure to delight your gastronomical taste buds!!!

We look forward to welcome you and your guests at The North West Frontier Food Festival

Italian Speciality Food at Residency Towers

The Crown has an Italian Connection

Dust off your copy of 'The Godfather' and brush up on your Italian because The Crown now has an impressive Italian Menu. We're not talking the meek pastas and the bland Lasagnes that dot most menus.

Chef Satish formerly of the now defunct El Savatore has gone to great lengths to make this as authentic an experience as possible. With only the freshest vegetables and finest herbs and oils imported, this is a new experience to this City's diners!

Antipasti, Zuppe, Insalate, Primi Piatti Dello Chef, Secondi Piatti and Dolci may sound like something you’d hear in a street fight but these are the delicious, mouth-watering courses you’re likely to immerse yourself in when you’re dining at The Crown.

If you’re wondering what these tongue twisters mean, just peek into the menu which describes these delicacies with so much love, it is sheer poetry.

Slivers of garlic sizzling in olive oil, shallots caramelizing with that perfect Chicken breast, Porcine mushrooms swimming in a perfectly blended soup, the creamiest gnocchi to ever grace your palate, and the perfect marriage of Panna Cotta with Strawberry and fresh fruits are some of the Italian Wonders you’ll experience at The Crown.

With a wonderful selection of Indian Wines to accompany your meal, and the most enticing smells emanating from our Kitchens, we guarantee you’re head will be swimming after a meal here!

The Deck, open to the skyline, offers a panaromic view of Chennai, and the restaurant with its high dome and luxurious seating along with a keyboard artist will make your evening will be complete.

Kindly call 28156363 for Reservations. Buon Appetito!
